About el joncar high-school:

My internship takes place at El Joncar High-school, located on top of the Library Poblenou-Manuel Arranz in Barcelona city.

The fact that the school is on top of a public library is a great opportunity for its students to rediscover physical books. The school sets to 30 min break for students to choose a book and read. Encouraging reading in a society where social media overtakes most of our free time, is a positive alternative in my opinion.

El Joncar high-school works for plurilingualism. Languages are alive and related to each other so in El Joncar they work to offer both English and French as second languages to students who wish to learn these.

The high-school also works to teach students a correct and purposeful use of digital tools. These are integrated on all classes in a positive way.

Its team works together to ensure a good learning program for their students. Meeting are appointed weekly in order to reflect and give the best feedback so that the school can improve its curriculum offer.
